Sustainable architecture in Amazonia - Lodge in Tiririca
Again, I had to present the project and all decision was up to the community. They enthusiastically accepted, but... Not for long. the plan was to work since July and finish around December of 2012. By then, it wasn't finished...
I divided the program in three different blocks, not only for confort reasons (noise, privacy etc) but also to maintain the scale of the other houses in order to merge and feel more included in the scenario.
The first and big block is the reception, public kitchen, social areas and a balcony that will be surrounded by water when the river is "full". The other one, on top with the view, two rooms. The other one an open space in order to hang hammocks and be more versatile for vacancies.
This project has the support of DGARTES and is included in "Portugal Brasil Agora".
